Our Process into Creating Your Perfect Space
At Outdoor Creations we want to create a beautiful outdoor living space for you, but we also want to make that process clear, helpful and smooth running from start to finish.
Our main aim is to provide clients with absolute clarity about their project from start to finish. We don’t hide anything, all costs are detailed, potential costs and options are proposed, so you can decide those you want to include. The final specification with costs is then delivered for you to sign off.
Initial Consultation
Following on from your initial enquiry, we will, with agreement, arrange a non-obligation consultation visit. During this meeting we will walk the site with you, explain our approach, discuss what is possible, ball park the costs involved, and show you solutions we have provided for similar projects.
Following our initial meeting and after we have viewed the site, we will then send you detailed design costs for your project.
Survey and Design Brief
If you like what you hear and want to progress the project, we will then arrange another visit to undertake a full survey, where we will plot boundaries, identify key features (such as drainage/ manhole covers etc), measure perimeters, establish spot levels and take reference photographs. From this information a scaled layout drawing can be produced.
Design & Planning
Our Design Team will take into account the scope of the works and the design brief to produce and deliver a concept plan. This will be a detailed plan and it will be accompanied with suggested material choices, and a guide price to associated construction prices will also be provided.
Our Design Team are talented and they will produce concepts that include layout, materials, features and planting information. To assist you in understanding your proposal fully, we will often also provide 3D drawings with views into your new garden .
Getting the right design for your outdoor space is a collaborative process and our Design Team will liaise with you and the Project Manager (PM) in making readjustments if necessary.
Once you are happy with the design, material choices, start date, payment schedule and costs, we will produce a contract for your sign off.
Transformation & Project Management
Our construction team are hugely experienced having worked on hundreds of outdoor garden projects. They are hard-working, skilled and fully committed to delivering a beautiful end result for you. They are entirely respectful of your home, polite, friendly and are focused on getting the project completed as efficiently and thoroughly as possible.
Your site foreman / PM will have a schedule of work to help ensure the project runs to those timeframes. They will also be available to help ensure all practicalities run as smoothly as possible, in terms of deliveries, access and waste disposal etc.
Your foreman / PM is your central point of contact to discuss all matters relating to your project and will act as a liaison with the Design and Construction Teams.
