Low maintenance garden space in Twickenham, Middlesex
Project Brief: Transform from a soulless paved patio to a green and harmonious outdoor space. This young family required a simple organised space, with neat pretty evergreen planting with low maintenance key for their hectic schedules.
Project Solution: Firstly, we removed all the concrete paving. We then clad the unattractive neighbouring fence with horizontal-slatted, black stained timber which now screens three sides. A simple raised planter wraps around an artificial lawn. Sawn sandstone leads from hardwood deck which is set at the same level as the day room indoors to help the flow and connection with the indoors. The garden has points of interest like a wall mounted water feature and subtle lighting and patio heater allow evenings to entertain and enjoy.
